A good friend of mine just came back from a vacation to Italy and Malta. My friend got the great privilege of spending some time in Assisi and in Rome. My friend was able to take some beautiful pictures of the two cities, capturing two important elements of Franciscan spirituality, which I would like to share. In my opinion, I believe the following pictures show the Franciscan love for beauty and simplicity, which are major components of Franciscan spirituality.
